Currently, I am working on a phylogeny of the bacterial genus Vibrio. I am also investigating ways of analyzing whole genome data in a phylogenetic framework, exploring methods that allow inclusion of gene rearrangement and DNA sequence data. From 2005-2007-2008 I worked on the NSF funded Assembling the Tree of Life: Protostome project generating sequence data at the American Museum of Natural History. I have experience sequencing the DNA of many taxa, including flies, frogs, wasps, scorpions, leeches and many small worms, generating up to two million base pairs of sequence data per day. Much more to come. |
